Specialization
I work as English - Czech translator especially in the following fields:
- Localizations: websites, software, videogames (PC games)
- Technical texts: all computer-related subject matters - hardware and software documentation, user guides, promotional texts; telecommunications (mobile phones), electronics
- Business texts: marketing, marketing research (surveys), business, stock markets
For website localizations, I'm also able to provide a translation from Czech to English.

Text & data formats
I'm able to process a translation from/to:
Word, Excel, PDF (Adobe), CMS (content management system - on-line editing), PowerPoint, plain text and other formats as agreed.
I'm also able to localize HTML, XML, PHP and other coding languages so that the required parts (excl. or incl. the code) are translated and the functionality remains unaffected.
CAT tools and other software
The CAT tools I can work with are as follows:
Trados Suite 2007 (Tag Editor, Workbench, SDLX), Trados Studio 2009, IBM Translation Manager Wordfast and MemoQ.
For consistency check purposes, I work with ApSIC Xbench.
I use the following office software: MS Windows 7 Ultimate (multilingual), MS Windows XP, MS Office 2007.
Availability & reachability
I'm available on phone and e-mail throughout every day 9 am - 6 pm CET (8 am - 5 pm GMT, 4 am - 1 pm EST, 4 pm - 1 am CHN), or as agreed in advance. I can react promptly (usually within just a few minutes) to any e-mail. I'm permanently on-line most of the given period, and e-mail notifications are forwarded to my mobile phone for the remaining period of time.
High-speed internet connection is a matter of course, as well as back-up solutions (surge guard, mobile internet connection, secondary PC).
